Invitation to attend Nana's Backyard - a Garden Produce Swap with Heart.

Nana's backyard - a garden produce swap - with heart.

An opportunity for everyone to share the bounty from the backyard, the kitchen and the heart.

A garden produce swap with heart.

Nana's Backyard had fruit trees and veggie beds. She used to hang over the fence and swap her beans for the neighbour's eggs and used the chook poo to fertilize her veggie beds. Nana always gave her jams and fresh vegies to Aunt Jenny (who didn't have a garden) and Aunty knitted scarves and beanies for us kids. She even knitted Nana a jumper once but Nana never wore it because it was too small.

Come along and share - garden produce (fruit & veg), seeds, seedlings, eggs, worm tea or swap a home knitted beanie for some produce. Be creative - perhaps an IOU to baby-sit is a good swap for some fresh produce - or an offer to make the lemons into lemonade.

Honorary "Nana's" will share their skills and wisdom. Opportunities to make-it, bake-it, grow it and grind-it (grind fresh grains on-site).

Everyone is welcome at Nana's Backyard Nana's (and Grandpa's) are especially welcome - we value your wisdom and skills. We encourage people from different cultures and cuisines, abilities and disabilities to attend.

An event for everyone!
