The world's worst environmentalist

Though I know there will not be a red carpetted award ceremony, I wholeheartedly admit to being the world's worst environmentalist as I prepare to traipse across the globe for the second time this year (gasp!).

BUT I'm dead set on making sure the benefits of this trip to North America (in providing me with inspiration, extended and deeper networks of like-minded sustainability activists and new knowledge and skills in village building and community engagement) will outweigh the additional 8.5 tonnes of carbon emissions (yes I've done the calculations!) I take personal responsibility for.

Anyway, if you're at all interested, I'm going to be (among other things) participating the the City Repair ( project's Village Building Convergence ( and Village Building Design Course ( in my hometown of Portland, OR. Check them out!

I will be back in the office from July 15 and hope to be in touch with/see you soon after that!
